The Brickton
Our Story
An American Grille at Chicago Marriott O'Hare
Where We Are
The 7th Marriott in America. The World's Busiest Airport.
The Brickton sits inside the Chicago Marriott O'Hare — the 7th Marriott hotel ever built in the United States — at O'Hare International Airport, the world's busiest. It's a place where the world passes through, and we make sure it's worth slowing down for.
Whether you're a road warrior grabbing a late dinner, a family starting a vacation, or a Chicagoan looking for a serious meal, The Brickton is your table.
A Historic Address
The 7th Marriott Ever Built
J. Willard Marriott Begins
J. Willard Marriott and his wife Alice open a nine-seat root beer stand in Washington, D.C. — the seed of what would become one of the world's largest hospitality companies.
The First Marriott Hotel
Marriott opens its very first hotel in Arlington, Virginia — the Twin Bridges Motor Hotel. It marks the company's pivot from food service into lodging, setting the template for modern American hotel hospitality.
Rapid Expansion
Through the early 1960s, Marriott builds its first handful of properties across the eastern United States, each one refining the brand's commitment to quality, consistency, and genuine service.
Chicago Marriott O'Hare Opens
The Chicago Marriott O'Hare opens its doors — the 7th Marriott hotel in the United States. Positioned at O'Hare International Airport, it becomes a landmark of American travel hospitality, welcoming millions of guests from around the world.
The Brickton Carries It Forward
More than half a century later, The Brickton American Grille calls this storied address home. We honor that legacy every day — with bold American cooking, genuine hospitality, and a table worth coming back to.
Our Philosophy
Bold Flavors. No Apologies.
We believe American cooking deserves the same reverence as any cuisine in the world. Not dressed up, not dumbed down — just honest, ingredient-driven food executed with craft and intention.
Our kitchen sources the finest ingredients: black angus beef, Alaskan halibut, heritage pork, and seasonal produce. Every dish on our menu is built from scratch, every day.
What We Stand For
The Brickton Standard
Sourced with Purpose
Black angus beef, Alaskan halibut, heritage heirloom pork — we know where our food comes from and we're proud of it.
Made from Scratch
Every sauce, every stock, every dressing. Nothing comes out of a bag or a can. That's the Brickton standard.
American Spirit
Our bar program is built on the same philosophy as our kitchen — bold, honest, and unapologetically American. Aged bourbons, hand-crafted cocktails.
Genuine Hospitality
You're a guest here, not a table number. Whether you're staying the night or just passing through, we treat every visit like it matters — because it does.
The Kitchen
Craft at Every Station
Our culinary team led by Executive Chef Steven LaCroix brings together decades of experience across world regional cooking, hotel dining, and fine cuisine. The result is a menu that's ambitious without being pretentious — food that tastes like someone actually cared.
Come Experience It
The best way to understand The Brickton is to sit down, order something bold, and let us take care of the rest.
